Overall Satisfaction with ISL Light
ISL Light is used internally to support a fleet of laptops. The tools is reliable and if the laptops are online, they are reachable with ISL. This was an issue the previous tool had, and why we moved to ISL. The features of ISL are limited but I am happy about the reliability. Other tools are required for additional management functions.
Pros
- Reachable as long as machine is online
- Good on low bandwidth
- Ability to secure configuration options on clients.
Cons
- Add a web client in addition to the fat client
- Web client as well as fat client
- Having a reliable tool for remote support saves desk-side visits
Cheaper and more reliable. ISL gets the basics right.
