Overall Satisfaction with Cisco Jabber
We use Jabber as an audio tool for connecting to our IP phones within the organization. For the employees that for example work from home and they can use Jabber as a normal phone system and not have to a land line. This is great product for seamlessly connecting to conference calls and managing calls throughout the work day.
- Allows for easy dialling and connecting to Bluetooth headsets.
- Syncs with your outlook calendar to allow for quick connections to conference calls that have a dial in number
- The presence status is a good feature to have within Jabber where is shows if you are available or not so that you can either a.) know when to call co-workers or b.) not have others call you if you are busy or away from your desk
- We tried to utilize the chat functionality but Skype/Lync chat is much better
- Sometimes Bluetooth headsets can disconnect or not utilize the mute functionality quick enough. If it could have better responsiveness that would be good.
- The reply all with IM does not always work and sometimes is buggy.
- This product allows us to easily have our remote employees to have access to their IP phones from any location that has an internet connection. You can use this on your smartphone or other devices
- We have been able to cut costs of our landlines across the board within the organization with Jabber as a piece.
- Good easy to use UI
We have both Skype and Jabber as possibilities within the organization. I prefer to use Jabber to make all calls vs using the Skype internet connection to talk to others within the organization. The internet calling from Skype can be slow and cut out a lot which we never have an issue with from Jabber as it is a direct line.
