Overall Satisfaction with Jamf Pro

We use Jamf Pro to manage our entire fleet of Macintosh systems and iPad devices. These devices are used throughout the college. If we have any Apple products here, we manage them with Jamf Pro. As for the problems we address, it is to create a consistent environment for our students and employees. The idea is to offer the expectation that no matter where you go, the systems behave the same.
  • Deploying applications
  • Configuring system settings
  • There is no best practice, each user installment is unique so, therefore, it's called better practice.
  • At times, it feels there could be too much content, too much information.
  • I no longer require additional help.
  • I can work magic to the amazement of others, I have inspired others to do more.
I have looked at similar products by AirWatch and Munki. When researching the purchase of Jamf, I decided I wanted the best in breed. We use SCCM for our Windows environment and it only made sense to do the same for our Apple platform.
I feel it's the Jamf support people that make the difference. There are really no calls I have made in 5 years where I don't get to some resolution or at least some workaround. This is amazing in terms of keeping me in tune with the folks I support.

Do you think Jamf Pro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Jamf Pro's feature set?

Yes

Did Jamf Pro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Jamf Pro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Jamf Pro again?

Yes

When fully integrating this with Apple's device enrollment program it is a perfect marriage. Additionally, when I need to make changes on the fly, Jamf Pro is extremely flexible. It literally is a framework that we can poke around in and customize to match our specific needs. I have yet to find a reason to NOT recommend it to anyone, unless of course, you don't need to vast power it offers because your installation is only a couple of Macs.
