Overall Satisfaction with Kahoot!

Kahoot! is used by our Customer Success and Launch team to run interactive quizzes to supplement and engage users during on training and onboarding. It helps to keep end users paying attention during our training sessions (which now happen remotely, often to work from home employees who can easily not pay attention to the session) by forcing them to interact with quizzes and also encourages them by us offering prizes mailed to the Kahoot! quiz winners.
  • Engaging participants.
  • Easy to build quizzes.
  • Fun user experience.
  • Pricing, need a credit card for trial.
  • Holdback too many features on lower plans.
  • Starting to feel bloated.
  • Increasing customer engagement.
  • Better knowledge retention.
We have also used myQuiz.org which is a totally free alternative. We use them both right now. Kahoot! has more features and looks more polished but myQuiz gets the job done if you need to quickly throw together a simple quiz competition at no charge. myQuiz isn't suited for teams, etc. but pricing can't be beat.
I have not needed to reach out to Kahoot! support. Everything is fairly self serve and self taught. The platform is simple enough to get going on your own and I can only picture contacting support for billing issues.
Simple to use, easy to pick up. End users have no issues (heck, it's used in Kindergarten classrooms) either and are easily able to pick up and participate in quizzes from their phones or computers.

Do you think Kahoot! delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Kahoot!'s feature set?

Yes

Did Kahoot! live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Kahoot! go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Kahoot! again?

Yes

Kahoot! is great for hosting games for many participants and can be used internally for employee onboarding and engagement, or externally as part of customer experience and training. We use it externally as a tool to train end customers and it works great. Kahoot! as it expands feels less designed for one-hit use cases like this and angling towards a continuous learning type model.

Evaluating Kahoot! and Competitors

  • Price
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
  • Product Reputation
  • Prior Experience with the Product
There was a free trial so it was easy to evaluate in 7 days. Pricing weighed in as there are free alternatives but Kahoot! beats them on feature set, handily. Also polish and usability were top notch, and many people have used Kahoot! in our market so it's nothing we need to teach.
I wish there was a longer eval period because we didn't get to try everything out.
