Overall Satisfaction with Kahoot!
Kahoot! has been used in the classrooms for in-class small quizzes in many departments in our institute. Since it is relatively simple to set up questions on Kahoot!, teachers like to use it to engage students in class and deliver knowledge while playing games. Some courses which need drawings or somewhat computer-aided calculations may not tend to use it since Kahoot! does not support those features as other types of tools do.
Pros
- It can be used on mobile phones in addition to computers, making it easier to access it during the pandemic.
- Register to play for educators for free or reduced price.
- Enhanced interaction between teachers and students by using this program in the class.
Cons
- Be able to set groups and people in these groups for the same game.
- Be able to support more file types for videos and figures.
- Be able to provide more online courses available to users.
- Basic plan for free if users only like to use it in school in class.
- More engagement in class while using it helps improve outcomes and attendance.
- Upgrade plans are available to only teachers, not to the whole department.
Blue Canoe includes games to provide users more means to learn the language in a different way. This program marks each day and sets goals for users to improve participation and engagements. However, it does not have an interface that students and teachers can both work together for the same game. Kahoot! provides more features for educators and all users to increase interaction in class and at home. Moreover, there is no cost to use Kahoot! for the basic plan which covers most features.
