Overall Satisfaction with KeePass

We use KeePass as a password vault that can only be used with a personal login in combination with a secure connection or office location. Important and crucial data is stored in KeePass. A clear folder structure is created for each client, where related data is stored, such as URLs, usernames and passwords, certificates, etc.

KeePass ensures that this sensitive data is stored securely and is only accessible to colleagues with the appropriate permissions and through secure login. This ensures we can serve and support our customers effectively and securely.

Pros

  • Strong security in the application
  • Flexible to arrange according to your wishes
  • You have control over where the data is safely stored

Cons

  • The user-friendliness could be better. The interface looks outdated and is sometimes quite technical.
  • If you're on the road a lot, KeePass isn't very user-friendly on a smartphone or tablet. It's fine to use on a laptop, though.
  • Sharing passwords with colleagues who are temporarily unable to log into KeePass independently could be improved.
  • We save a lot on license costs that other suitable password managers do charge.
  • Every user in our organization who uses KeePass has more time to truly support customers, instead of searching through complex systems to retrieve data. This is much more valuable for our service provision.
  • Some options like secure password generation and proper storage ensure that these processes always run smoothly, and that no unnecessary time is wasted on fixing a manual typo somewhere.
Because KeePass is a reliable package that does exactly what it says it does. It's secure, and that's the most important aspect. Moreover, within our organization, it's a perfect tool for securely supporting our customers. Only technical people use KeePass, so using it is no problem. And KeePass is less expensive than most other comparable password managers.
We considered several packages, but we focused on what best suited our organization. Security was the most important factor, along with flexibility and how we could customize the package to maximize its effectiveness. Then, of course, we considered the cost of the package. And when we weighed everything up, KeePass emerged as the best choice.

Do you think KeePass delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with KeePass's feature set?

Yes

Did KeePass live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of KeePass go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy KeePass again?

Yes

KeePass is a perfect tool for use as a password manager and for storing similar sensitive data. This is especially true if you work from a fixed workstation, supporting your clients. KeePass is incredibly valuable. If you're often on the road and need to log in to KeePass occasionally to look up passwords or data, this can be inconvenient. And quickly and securely sharing data across other media isn't really an option with KeePass. Security is more important in this situation.
