Overall Satisfaction with Kemp LoadMaster

We use the Kemp LoadMaster with our on-premise Exchange 2016 using two services on a DAG at different locations.
The Kemp LoadMaster load balancer allows us to have a hands-off failover between servers, either in a Disaster Recovery model or during upgrades for security patches or service pack updates for the Exchange software.
  • Hands-off failover between systems.
  • Easy to use GUI.
  • No command line interface to learn.
  • Would like GEO function built on as add on.
  • To get more performance had to upgrade models, maybe a license based throttle.
  • Dual power supplies would be nice.
  • The Kemp was vital to uptime as it was our number one objective with email.
  • It is easy to use with a good GUI making training very easy for staff
  • Don't know how I survive[d] without one or two Kemp LoadMaster load balancers before.
The Kemp LoadMaster load balancer was a recommendation from our Consulting Partner on the Exchange project.
When proposed, the Kemp LoadMaster was the lowest-cost solution presented.
I was mostly worried about having a support solution for a brand name company, so it was an easy choice.
Not having to learn a command line based system was very nice.
I gave the Kemp LoadMaster a 10 for usability, as I really like the GUI interface that allows for easy setup and monitoring of our system.
The GIU gives a clear picture of which devices are up and available and where the data is flowing to. As we upgraded our exchange / DAG to 2016 it was easy to [manage] both solutions as we moved over.
Support has been easy to deal with; I have only need[ed] to contact them a few times during setup.
Once its been in place and operational, we have not need[ed] to mess with the system [which] is a huge
advantage. I like system[s] that do not break and require constant attention in a production environment.

The Kemp LoadMaster load balancer is well suited for on-premise exchange system, either at one location or at two.
The Kemp is also suited to use for balancing web site traffic between system.
The Kemp work[s] well when use in with two or more units when in a multi-site environment.
I have not found a solution that the Kemp will not handle well.
