Overall Satisfaction with KnowBe4

The user management can be as detailed or intensive as you would like. We set up campaigns and then do not monitor much. We check our progress monthly and quarterly.
KnowBe4 has provided our district with great tools to train end-users on preventing phishing attacks. The simulated phishing emails are very authentic and customizable. We run regular training monthly based on simulated phishing emails. Our staff appreciates that the training is targeted towards those that need the review. If they aren't clicking they don't have to go through extra training. We also leverage the library of videos, text, and games to provide an engaging training campaign several times a year.

Pros

  • The Phish alert reporting tool provides a great way to train staff on how to report phishing.
  • KnowBe4 provides great support to help set up and use the service.
  • I like the dynamic nature of the content which is constantly being updated.

Cons

  • As email security improves, the simulated phishing emails are becoming harder to get through to users without warnings. Then again, if users click on simulated email with a warning you really know you have problems.
  • Reminders and tips about changing and setting up campaigns would be appreciated.
  • We have a great tool to address the human vulnerabilities in our organization. We can show results in the declining percentage of clicks and participation in the training.
  • We can show to our board that we have taken this problem seriously and implemented the best training that was available.
  • Our end-users appreciate the brevity and efficiency of the training which is embedded in their daily use of email and does not require excessive amounts of time.
When we looked at other products they did not offer the full range of simulated emails. They often did not use real branding and were too easy to spot. They also did not allow the emails to be randomly sent. If the emails are limited or the same, end-users easily figure this out and tell their colleagues. KnowBe4 bases its simulated emails on real phishing emails and social engineering techniques. As our users become better trained we are also able to dial up the difficulty. I did not see this feature with other products.
KnowBe4 provides real human beings to help set-up, run and analyze all of the training. They are also available by phone when you need them. When I made some mistakes early on they were immediately available for support. You don't see this too often with tech support.

Would you buy KnowBe4 Security Awareness Training again?

Yes

Phishing is a moving target. Scammers are always trying new techniques. In order to keep our users vigilant, we need up to date, relevant content. Having a variety of different media, especially video, is also very useful.
The percentage of clickers and tracking repeat clickers is useful.
KnowBe4 is a great tool for organizations of all sizes. You don't need a CISO or full-time security staff to implement it. It also needs to be implemented in full. You can't just run one email test or use it once a year. You need to combine the simulated phishing emails with follow-up training.
