Overall Satisfaction with Kronos Workforce Ready
We currently use Workforce Ready across all departments of our organization. Our main method of use is Time and Attendance, but we also utilize many other HR functions such as benefits accruals, time off/overtime requests, etc. Workforce Ready has streamlined this whole process by incorporating all of this functionality into a single platform.
Pros
- Benefits Accruals - the rules engine behind benefit accruals is top notch.
- Time and Attendance - very easy to understand for end users.
- Flexibility - the program is extremely flexible supporting a seemingly endless set of use cases.
- Reporting - all reporting is very customizable.
Cons
- Various bugs - these are usually small items that aren't work stopping, but can be an annoyance since they pop up in random places.
- Time off rules - these are not very intuitive. They "work", but there are various places that you need to set them up and it's not easy to figure out.
- Documentation - this is probably the biggest con. The documentation is lacking and not kept up to date.
- Elimination of on premise servers and IT support
- Overtime is much easier to control
- HR staff is far more productive being centralized into one system
- Employees and managers spend less time dealing with time and attendance concerns
- AsureForce Time, Legiant and TimeClock Plus
I can speak directly to Asure/Legiant and say they are not worth the effort of any organization to talk to. They have a horrible product and below par customer service. We did utilize TimeClock Plus for many years, but the product was too small for our organization over time. This could very well just be due to targeting a different market segment.
- Price
- Product Features
- Product Usability
- Product Reputation
- Third-party Reviews
Our internal HR rules are fairly complex and were our primary factor when searching out a new system. Obviously price comes into the mix, but when an organization reaches a certain size and requires particular features, they do come at a cost. The price point for Kronos is certainly fair at this level.

Evaluating Kronos Workforce Ready and Competitors
Yes - We chose Kronos to replace Asure (formerly Legiant). Asure bought Legiant a couple years back and forced us to utilize their "new" product since they no longer supported the product we initially bought. With this came the requirement of paying for this new product even though we had already paid for the existing one. Clearly we had no reason not to open ourselves up to the rest of the market.
We have no regrets with our selection or the process of making this selection.
