Overall Satisfaction with Kronos Workforce Ready
Kronos Workforce Ready is being used across the whole organization. We use it for HR, Timekeeping, Accruals, Payroll, and scheduling. We use the system for external applicants to apply for jobs within our organization, and we transfer those profiles over into being employee profiles to begin building our employee files on the individual. Timekeeping is used through the Webclock and on InTouch Terminals in multiple locations across the organization. The time from those punches carry over through payroll all within the same system.
Pros
- Kronos Workforce Ready provides great reports that can be customized and exported in PDF or Excel format.
- The Payroll module accurately calculates all necessary taxes and liabilities for employees.
- Automated email reports are great to send out at a particular time each day or weekly to certain work groups.
Cons
- The scheduling piece that goes along with the Timekeeping module could use some improvement. There is a Scheduler module, but we were not able to add on the extra cost at our organization. We are not able to take a shift and easily vary that shift start and end time without doing a lot of extra background work that may or may not configure correctly when put into place.
- When Kronos added an additional layer of security with login passwords, it has cause a lot of calls and emails into my office to reset passwords and unlock accounts for employees. I'm not sure if it is user error or system error that causes such an easy lockout for them.
- There is a good piece to organize vehicles, but it would be nice if there was more of a fleet management system within the existing features for vehicles.
- With automated time reports, managers are able to see where they stand on potential overtime hours that could generate by employees
- Payroll processes are streamlined speeding up the whole process from start to end - it used to take nearly 8 hours to process payroll on a different system, and now it is possible in just a few hours (which includes timesheet reviews, audits, etc.)
- Being a web based system, it has lightened the load of work for our in-house IT department and they are able to spend their time working on other things instead of the payroll system.
We used to use four different pieces to manage payroll and employee related items. We had a separate time keeping system, payroll system, accrual tracker, and hiring process. With Kronos Workforce Ready, we have been able to consolidate all of these down into one system. One thing I remember reading when looking into going with Kronos is how one profile gives employees access to all different areas/modules of the system, and not having to remember login info for multiple programs.

The most important factor for us what the product's usability and features. Making sure that all products were streamlined and worked smoothly together was important to ensure accuracy. Its usability was important to as multiple employees with different levels of technological competence would be using the system, and they would all need to know how to navigate it well.
