Overall Satisfaction with Kronos Workforce Ready

The process for contacting tech support is more complex than I would like. The response time is a little slower than I would like. The tech support staff is great to work with and they are very knowledgeable.
WFR is used company wide for time and labor management and PTO accruals. With WFR being a SAAS application all maintenance and upgrades are handled behind the scenes and nearly all downtime is eliminated.
Supervisors, managers and payroll have decreased the time to process time sheets and payroll from hours to minutes. Scheduling allows management to manage schedules more efficiently allowing better management for staffing.
  • Time clock setup and programming is very simple. The simplicity and speed to deployment makes installation and maintenance simple.
  • Employees can see their schedule, time sheets and PTO online from anywhere and have the availability of using a mobile app. This gives employees and management many options to see information that was not available before.
  • Better information and more accurate time sheets has allowed payroll to reduce payroll processing from hours to minutes.
  • PTO request workflows are designed for smaller companies making them difficult to set up in a large organization.
  • More webinars that cover advanced usage would be very beneficial.
  • Labor levels and labor codes require advanced logic for larger companies to surpass the basic out of the box product.
  • WFR reduces the need for internal servers and software maintenance. This adds significant value.
  • Time sheet management, reduction in payroll errors, time to process payroll has improved significantly. Less hours to process payroll has significant soft cost value.
  • Scheduling allows for more effective management of scheduling which ultimately reduces cost by not overstaffing.
Comparable products were more expensive and required more cost to implement. Kronos is the leading provider in time and labor management, their products are first class.
  • Price
  • Product Features
  • Product Usability
  • Product Reputation
  • Vendor Reputation
  • Positive Sales Experience with the Vendor
Product usability and features were the key criteria used in choosing WFR.
Kronos Workforce Ready (WFR) is a spectacular product. Companies with fewer than 500 employees and few departments are a perfect fit for the product. A company with many departments may struggle to configure the product to meet their needs.

Kronos Workforce Ready Reliability

I believe there is too much downtime. Single sign-on has been down 2 times in last 5 days. This downtime has occurred many times in the past 6 months. Many topics mentioned in the user guides have not enough information to use the functionality.
