Overall Satisfaction with LinkedIn Sales Navigator

I typically use LinkedIn Sales Navigator primarily for prospecting and gathering targeted contacts for each of our service offerings. As well, I use it for updating our existing key records within our CRM. LinkedIn Sales Navigator notifies me when contacts move to new organizations or if they get promotions or new titles.

Pros

  • Great for segmenting by Job Title.
  • Opportunity alerts can be set and I receive notifications.
  • Can look at all employees for a particular company and identify best contacts.

Cons

  • Contact information is not always the best, at least for email addresses.
  • No bulk exports.
  • Doesn't really replace the need for other tools.
  • Advanced search and lead recommendations identify targets quickly.
  • If you need quality contacts over quantity this is a more suitable tool.
  • Still need to have other tools like ZoomInfo or Wiza for collecting contact data.
LinkedIn Sales Navigator offers robust features for lead generation and prospecting. For segmentation purposes, it can make a marketer's mouth water. It is that good. However, the list export functionality is also severely lacking, as it doesn't always provide accurate email addresses or comprehensive contact data; therefore, another tool is needed in conjunction to track those down.
In my opinion, ZoomInfo and LinkedIn Sales Navigator serve different purposes. ZoomInfo is more for providing accurate contact information, while LinkedIn Sales Navigator is more for identifying the exact contacts you want to market to. Being built on top of the LinkedIn social network, it is ideal for nabbing the same person you need from each organization.

LinkedIn Sales Navigator is hands down the best tool for identifying targeted contacts or leads. You can drill down on a company and look at its entire workforce, or search by the exact title that is your key target. The information is up to date, as people tend to keep their LinkedIn profiles current. In terms of other marketing functions LI Sales Navigator is extremely limited. BUT if you are looking to identify contacts for prospecting purposes, then this tool is what you need.
