Overall Satisfaction with LogMeIn Rescue

I use LogMeIn Rescue to remote into customers device and provide software troubleshooting.

Pros

  • Copy files
  • Reconnects after restarting quickly

Cons

  • sometimes disconnects temporarily when network is connected
Yes it is definitely suitable for users with not as much of a technical background. It is simple to use and to explain to others. I have not used it and had a customer not able to follow the instructions to get the remote session started. It seems to surprise customers more often than not.
Admin credentials are needed in order to access admin privileges. The customer on the remote in also has to provide access for the app to make changes.
LogMeIn Rescue allows you to copy and paste from one pc to another. Quick Assist does not allow this.

It is well suited for technical support specialists or for it teams. Anyone who is needing to remote into a device to confirm details or to help troubleshoot. It is very easy to use and it can be explained simply to those who are not as tech savvy as others.
