Overall Satisfaction with Lucidchart

Lucidchart is a powerful and feature-packed tool for sure. However, there is a bit of a learning curve – especially if you are using it cooperatively with a team or across desktop and mobile platforms. It has a very robust iOS app and some users actually prefer it over the desktop version, however tech support for the mobile apps can be a challenge.
Lucidchart is the perfect tool for creating flow charts and process diagrams. At Two Creative Design Group, we use it to illustrate everything from traffic flow to campaign outlines to in-house standard procedures. We also use it to create clear, downloadable resources for our clients. Lucidchart makes it easy to illustrate complex processes so that they can be quickly understood. Clients enjoy this because it helps them make decisions on campaign designs and ad spending in a timely manner. And, in the digital marketing space, timely is the name of the game. The faster we can make decisions, the faster we can implement solutions.

Pros

  • Flow Charts
  • Campaign Designs
  • Downloadable Resources

Cons

  • There could be better tech support for iPad version.
  • There could be better support for Apple Pencil.
  • Lucidchart improves our productivity by allowing us to clearly demonstrate campaign design in a way that decision-makers can quickly digest and act upon.
  • By helping us to get decisions made quickly, Lucidchart allows us to move fast and be aggressive with our marketing efforts while outpacing our competition.
I haven't used the integrations. If I did integrate Lucidchart into my daily workflow with my CRM or Automation platform, I would do it through Zapier. Currently, Lucidchart offers data set integrations with no triggers on the Zapier platform. Since we mainly use Lucidchart to create in-house documents and client-facing presentations, data set integrations are much used by us.
I have never actually needed support for Lucidchart's web-based desktop platform. However, I have read several reviews of the mobile apps where users have expressed a need for more robust support – both regarding technical issues and also for peripheral devices such as the Apple Pencil. Considering the pace at which Lucidchart has developed from when I first began using it, I imagine that they are constantly working on improving these features.

Lucidchart is extremely well suited for diagramming sophisticated processes like marketing campaigns. We use it to illustrate how traffic flows from ads to landing pages. We can show the client when offers will be made and how traffic is segmented based upon audience response. We can also explain how audiences are built for the purpose of cross-sells, up-sells, and retargeting.
