Overall Satisfaction with ManageEngine Endpoint Central

We use ManageEngine Endpoint Central for administering our endpoint devices. We use Endpoint Central to deploy latest patches for our operating systems and third party applications. We also use Endpoint Central to remotely connect to endpoints for troubleshooting customer issues. In addition to that we also use Endpoint Central to create, store and deploy laptop images to newly provisioned devices.

Pros

  • Clear and concise access to information
  • In-depth device analysis available easily
  • Modularity that allows to expand functionality as required

Cons

  • Windows 11 deployment isn't smooth and has some issues
  • Allow the configuration of SSO on the on-premise version of Endpoint Central
  • Post-deployment user notifications could be more clear and detailed
  • We have found that ManageEngine Endpoint Central contains a lot of the features that it's competitors do whilst being much more cost-effective.
  • The operational efficiency gains have been massive, previously it would take our staff a long time to update machines and now it's done automatically thanks to manage engine endpoint central which allows our staff to focus on important projects
  • One negative impact is that when certain features do not work out of the box, the manual workarounds include quite a lot of manual labour such as scripting and creating configuration files, which can be quite time consuming for a solution that is supposed to save time.
I find that the user interface in ManageEngine Endpoint Central is easy to navigate and presents information in a clear and concise manner. There are a lot of different options to select for deployment policies and various configurations. The remote assist side of ManageEngine Endpoint Central is also easy to use and provides a lot of unique features.
I find that Manage Engine Endpoint Central compares quite well to it's competitors, the feature set is quite similar or identical. What I like about Manage Engine Endpoint Central is it's modularity and therefore affordability, a lot of the competitors come out with security features built in which are nice but if we have different software for that we would be paying for the same features twice in two different programs.

Do you think ManageEngine Endpoint Central delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with ManageEngine Endpoint Central's feature set?

Yes

Did ManageEngine Endpoint Central live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of ManageEngine Endpoint Central go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy ManageEngine Endpoint Central again?

Yes

ManageEngine Endpoint Central is well suited for environments where you are operating a large fleet of various devices and need to manage the updates carefully. It provides clear statists on device patch status. We are operating the on-premise version of ManageEngine so one place where it is not suitable is for our remote sites that cannot connect back to the central Endpoint Central server and communicate with it.
