Overall Satisfaction with ManageEngine Endpoint Central

We use Endpoint Central to manage the servers and computers in our organization. This includes remoting into endpoints, patch management, and software deployment

Pros

  • Remote Login
  • Patch Management
  • Inventory Management

Cons

  • Software management
  • OS deployment
  • Better patch management
  • Improved ability to assist users
I think it has a pretty clear UI but it can be a bit cluttered. I also think some things, such as how to deploy software or deploy the agent to new endpoints can be a little clearer. I do like how easy it is to find a specific user and remote into their computer.
I think System Center, specifically the Configuration Manager is much harder to install and get setup when compared to Endpoint Central. Endpoint Central also has a cleaner UI, especially when it comes to patching and the inventory management. I think both offerings are a bit behind using something like Intune when it comes to software deployment.

Do you think ManageEngine Endpoint Central delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with ManageEngine Endpoint Central's feature set?

Yes

Did ManageEngine Endpoint Central live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of ManageEngine Endpoint Central go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy ManageEngine Endpoint Central again?

Yes

I think it is very well suited for smaller and medium businesses that do not have a full time staff to manage their inventory. It is easy to setup and easy to do the basic tasks like patch management and remoting into servers/desktops. I think for larger organizations, a software like SCCM can be more suitable to tasks such as software and OS deployment. I still think Endpoint Central has SCCM beat in the patch management department and most definitely has it beat when using remote desktop. I can easily find a user that is logged into a computer and control their session for example much easier than I can with Microsoft's offering; it even works in multiuser environments such as an RDP server.
