Overall Satisfaction with ManageEngine OpManager
ManageEngine OpManager is used to monitor critical servers and the services they run. We have it trigger notifications, both email, and SMS, to various members in the IT department in order to get ahead of any potential downtime that the supported users may have.
- Monitor servers that go down.
- Monitor critical services.
- Email and SMS notifications.
- User interface takes some time to get used to.
- Setting up the login credential for various devices.
- Removing known unused devices.
- Server monitoring.
- Service monitoring.
- Timely notifications of both server down and back up.
- Provided near real-time server down notifications.
- Ability to send SMS notifications to on-call techs.
- Ability to restart services to provide as little downtime as possible of critical applications.
As I'm sure there are other notification applications that are available and would fit my work, I have not used them extensively enough to do any type of comparison.
