Overall Satisfaction with Marketo
We are not using many of the features of Marketo this year because our employee who was trained on it left and no one could pick up the slack. So we are only using web analytics, not the list and template functionality that we previously used. When we did though, we felt it served our purposes. It was easy to create landing pages and forms, and it did a good job of tracking visitors to our website.
- Landing pages
- Contact pages
- Email templates
- List management
- More background on pages viewed by website visitors
- Less visitors captured as ISPs than named companies
- Lead Management
We are using it for intelligence around who is coming to our website and seeing what pages they visit. We're also using it to see return visitors and what content they are showing interest in. So our goal is moving prospective customers further into the sales funnel and giving sales people tangible information about them.
- HubSpot and Eloqua
We chose Marketo because we were only using it for marketing automation, not as a CRM. Our sales team did their own evaluation as well as hire an independent consultant that compared our needs to the various options and decided that for the CRM functionality they preferred HubSpot. So our marketing team is going along with changing to HubSpot and we have already begun the transition.
