I was hoping to use ZoomInfo to find leads and send them emails or call them but have not been able to so far
  • I was told by the salesperson, Alex, that it has a good contact database
  • Inaccurate claims about product functionality
  • Horrible support and onboarding process
  • Dialer does not work for weeks after purchase
  • Self service model but priced as a "done for you model"
They are charging $13,000 but provide no real customer centric support. Other similar tools like Seamless seem to do the same thing for a fraction of the cost.

No one really knows the whole system. I got bounced around five different people and each time I'd ask a question, the answer would be, "I don't know. Reach out to customer support". I wasted endless hours emailing and waiting for responses.

Sales rep promised me that the whole system would be "fully setup" the day after I signed the package but its basically a self-service model, where I have to invest another 20-30 hours to watch webinars and work with an offline support team to set it up.

I repeatedly asked for a trial period to test out the product on my own and he kept deflecting telling me that the onboarding team would "set it all up for me the day after I sign up" - which is a big lie.

My emails and phone calls were showing up as spam for my customers and I didn't even know that for a while.

The onboarding person promised 24 x 7 support but what they have in the evenings or weekends is basically an automated chat bot where I have to send in questions and describe my issue and they take 24-48 hours to even respond and resolve things.

When I tried to set up call with someone on their Engage to fix things and get the whole thing fixed, they cancel my calls, asking me to get back in touch with the customer support.

Customer support is back to cc'ing the Engage team and does not respond in a timely manner.Overall, for the amount I'm paying, I would expect something more than self-service support, and would hope that they have some type of live support for people who need to set this up during off hours. They have very bad onboarding and customer support, and the sales team walks away after making the sale. Its the user's responsibility to watch dozens of hours of webinars and figure this all out.

ZoomInfo allows us to dig for information that would normally be unavailable. Contact names, numbers (direct, hq, cell), emails, business emails. It also reveals contacts, companies, news, and much more. For companies, it yields revenue and location and services for vetting, while for people it yields positions and contact info. It succeeds where google, and linkedIn fail.
  • Grading contacts and leads
  • Securing contact information for leads
  • Identifying competitors and similar industry prospects
  • Grades accuracy of self-provided info
  • Offers a great in-web-browser extension for seeing if websites have a zoominfo profile
  • Integrating with internal data.
  • Accuracy of info
  • Storing and sorting and tagging contacts in a seamless way
  • Reporting poor information
When you cannot find a company's number, the department in the company you need, the email or cell contact for the direct contact you need. ZoomInfo will be overwhelming with contacts, but it will be divided by department, position, tenure, etc. It goes a step above just "knowing" who you're calling to, "having the contacts" for who you want to call.

We use Zoominfo for Bulk and AD HOC data mining. This is then exported onto our CRM for our BD calling campaigns. The team also have individual access to Zoominfo, which allows them to look for contacts on their own outside of the initial build completed by the data team.

Zoominfo has a high success rate of being able to provide a minimum of a prospects email address, often offering a direct dial or mobile number alongside this.

We also use the Intent function to monitor signals of organisations looking for Lead Generation / BD services like we provide.
  • Provides direct contact details
  • Provides information on organisations tech stacks, news and trends.
  • Plug-in is extremely user friendly when using alongside LinkedIn.
  • Bulk data builds (tagging accounts/contacts) is very easy to do.
  • Response / server speed when filtering through a large number of organisations.
  • Different options for how to receive Intent signals / data.
  • More CRM integration options.
I would highly recommend Zoominfo to anyone within a Sales / BD / Lead Generation role who is looking to gain access to prospects, companies and insights. The support you get from the Team at Zoominfo is also very good.

It may be less appropriate for people within Customer Service roles and the likes.

Our outbound teams utilize the Advanced Search and ListMatch features, our ABM motion uses the WebSights feature, and we integrate with Salesforce for CRM.
  • Sourcing up to date prospect intelligence.
  • Advanced filtering for collecting large amounts of ICPs.
  • Seeing what companies visited our sight.
  • Needs better filtering in Workflow automation.
  • Needs customization of Slack messages sent with Workflows.
  • Needs better shared lists, searches with exclusions, and default public tags functionalitiy.
Fantastic for sourcing quality data for cold outreach. Not well suited for automation - yet.

Zoominfo is so far the most reliable B2B Sales platform that provides our sales and marketing team with quality leads and contact information about our desired prospects. One major plus, especially after exploring other platforms, is the seamless integration with other platforms like our CRM, G2 Crowd, Outreach, etc. Also, with features like intent data, advance filters, workflows, tracker etc. I'm really able to do tasks automatically or filter through millions of target to the ideal ICP and take meaningful actions on it. I believe it's also very user friendly with an easy to understand interface, compared to some other platforms that could be too busy.
  • Prospects Information.
  • CRM Integration.
  • Workflow Automation.
  • Intent Signals.
  • Keyword Searches.
  • Improve of contact info a bit more.
  • Expunge obsolete data.
For prospecting, market research, contact information of your ICPs. Zoominfo info is absolutely great, also if you use a CRM like Salesforce, you can map out fields to anything you design. It's great for the Sales team and research team to use. Also if you deal with a lot of csvs, I'll recommend uploading first to ZoomInfo to match and accurately fill out the companies or contacts info better before exporting into your CRM through Zoominfo to avoid duplication and bad data. We cleaned out thousands of duplicates recently and ZoomInfo was helpful with this.

We use ZoomInfo SalesOS to identify new logo sales opportunities. The search features within ZoomInfo SalesOS allow us to really get granular with the type of companies and contacts we are looking to target.
  • Their advanced search features allows for a lot of granularity
  • The Workflows feature allows for easy imports of specific companies and contacts that we want to target
  • The enrich feature is amazing at keeping our data clean and up to date!
  • We would like to be able to have an option where we can separate our AMER users from EMEIA and APAC users and the data that is available to them. We want to make sure that AMER data is not available to EMEIA and vice-versa. This is helpful for compliance and GDPR rules
  • I would like to see the Workflows feature have the approval queue available again. We don't want users to create just any kind of workflow with out some kind of oversight from an admin. Otherwise they risk brining in incomplete data and wasting credits.
  • For the Instant Enrich feature; as an admin I would like to be able to make changes to the mappings more easily. Right now we have a dedicated API user set up for the connection. But anytime we need to make changes I have to login as that user and that can be tricky given our SSO login.
ZoomInfo SalesOS is great for identifying new logo sales opportunities. The advanced search features allow for users to be able to create an ICP and get granular

We use ZoomInfo for prospecting companies and leads. We've been using it for a little over 2 years with BDRs and RSMs as our primary users. We also enrich our database using ZoomInfo through our integration with Hubspot. Recently, we've also added on Intent as well as the Workflows product, which our BDR team is incorporating more into their process.
  • Best contact info compared to competitors.
  • Integrates across our tech stack and integrations are reliable for the most part.
  • Intent data is seen as a differentiator by our BDR team.
  • More customizations on the integration side to Hubspot and Salesforce, how data is enriched and fields are mapped
  • Credit distribution being required across the team keeps us from getting the most out of our total credits. AEs do need to be able to find contact info and prospect when needed, but they're not going to use 1000 credits per month.
From what I've heard on the market, the contact info on ZoomInfo is still the most accurate so I would recommend it to a more mature sales organization that is willing to pay more for an effective prospecting solution.

I work as an internal admin for ZoomInfo in our company. One of my day to day task is to provision new users and deprovision inactive users in our company. Also I do lead cleansing using ZoomInfo to get certain company details such as address, employee size and industry. Been using this for 3 yeas and this software is the one we trust to be our data source.
  • Providing firmographic information of companies
  • Providing contact details of certain companies
  • Updating lead with ZoomInfo integration
  • One thing that I noticed is the Integration of ZoomInfo with other tools, sometimes data syncing is not working.
Zoominfo SalesOS is well suited for sales and marketing purposes such as lead update since you can obtain work emails and phone numbers. Been using ZoomInfo for 3 years already, so far I don't have any inappropriate experience with ZoomInfo.

Currently, we use ZoomInfo SalesOS as our #1 contact and account data source. We also tap into ZoomInfo SalesOS intent as our main intent source. We use this as a foundation to fuel campaigns and source individual contacts for our target accounts. Of particular interest and relevance to our segmentation strategy is the accessibility of Alexa rank as a data point.
  • Contact coverage
  • Mobile numbers
  • Accurate emails
  • Intent data
  • Technographics
  • Extra data points like Alexa rank
  • UI can be slow at times
ZoomInfo SalesOS is a must-have as a primary data source, especially if the US/NA is your primary geography. That said, I always recommend using 2 or 3 data sources. Also good as the primary intent source, but again, I recommend using 2 to 3 intent sources. ZoomInfo SalesOS intent and G2 intent are a good combination.

We use ZoomInfo SalesOS to validate our potential prospects. We also use the product to scope out opportunities and explore lookalike companies within the same space. We also use this service to ensure our prospects information is up to date. ZoomInfo SalesOS makes it easy to set up automated routing rules to our CRM. This allows the Sales experience to be quick and easy.
  • The ability to export straight to Salesforce is invaluable for our Sales team
  • ZoomInfo SalesOS intent has allowed us insight into prospects that are looking into our space
  • ZoomInfo SalesOS allows users to easily save ICP searches and adjust them if necessary
  • I've found some contact information is out of date for potential leads. Whether that is email, title, phone number, company, etc.
  • Workflows occasionally break and need to fixed manually
ZoomInfo SalesOS is a really useful tool for a sales team. It allows users and admins to easily search for and find prospects/companies that they are looking for. Another great feature is the ability to export directly to your CRM this makes the marketing process so much easier. The ZoomInfo SalesOS support team has been extremely helpful in offering trainings and letting us know when new features are deployed.

We use ZoomInfo SalesOS not only for our prospecting efforts but also for their Intent data and Enrich product for our Salesforce database cleanup/inbound lead enrichment. We have 3 different Sales teams using the product(SDR's, Commercial Sales Reps and Regional Sales Managers)--our ICP ranges from companies $100M in annual revenue and above. ZoomInfo SalesOS helps us get accurate contact data for these segments and helps us keep Salesforce clean and up-to-date.
  • Enriching and cleaning existing databases
  • depth and breadth of contact data
  • Accurate contact details like direct line and business email
  • mobile phone numbers
  • A bad data button
We've had lots of success in the Enterprise space gathering contact data for our key accounts. We've also really liked the combination of intent data, websights, scoops and technology data. This has allowed us to attack key accounts with a ton of knowledge beforehand to tailor our outreach.

We use ZoomInfo Sales OS to find B2B information for in market contacts. We also use their intent data to find prospects who are researching solutions that we offer. We have also added their websights tag onto our website to uncover which companies are looking at our website. It has been a great prospecting tool.
  • B2B contact information
  • Easy HubSpot integration
  • Valuable intent data
  • Event information
  • Easier onboarding
  • It seems like there is some account management turnover
We use ZoomInfo SalesOS to find accurate B2B contact and company information then export it into ZoomInfo SalesOS for our marketing campaigns and our outbound sales team to reach out to. I haven’t personally explored their SDR features since we do everything through HubSpot but it would be interesting to see how that’s utilized.

I use ZoomInfo SalesOS as a prospecting tool within economic development offices at state and local levels, as well as chambers of commerce, tech councils, and industry associations. It speeds up the process of finding the right contacts and updating my CRM. Having an accurate contact list is vital to our business.
  • It facilitates adding new prospects in bulk
  • It helps finding new organizations we haven't considered before
  • Their Intent tool gives you real time insights on which organizations might be actively searching for a product that you offer
  • In my opinion, it could keep closer tabs on updating leads
  • In my opinion, it could better narrow down search parameters
ZoomInfo SalesOS is great for quickly building a contact list within a specific industry segment. In my experience, It takes a while to understand which search parameters are better suited for your business and to weed off leads that aren't actually what you're looking for, but once you get how it works, it's a powerful tool to speed up your prospecting work.

We use SalesOS to enhance existing data and surface new prospects. This is done by enriching data for one off lists to better understand certain customer segments and prospects, creating target account lists, alerting sales users to news from prospect accounts (Scoops), identifying prospects that use competitors, and finding new prospects to reach out to.
  • List building
  • Integrating with other platforms (Salesforce)
  • Alerts
  • Workflows
  • Visibility into credit usage (particularly around Workflows)
  • Pricing
ZoomInfo's platform is easy to use and the integrations with other platforms, like Salesforce, make it a leader in the sales intelligence space. Having the ability to pull in Salesforce information when list building is a great feature for seeing what info. already exists and who is working a particular account.

ZoomInfo helps us get the most accurate contact information to get in touch with our prospective targetss.
The accurate information be found across various markets and industries. ZoomInfo is a general B2B search engine, so it takes some upfront practice to find the best way to target a certain industry, but the more you learn the nuances, the stronger the tool gets.
  • Direct contact information across all industries
  • List Match Enhancements
  • Sales Account Targeting
  • Mapping Hospitals to the Health System Name/Business it owns
  • Export settings more accessible
  • Better notifications around new information added
Pro- Campaign Execution
Sales OS is great for targeting accounts where number of employees is a deciding characteristic.
List Matching
Pro - Sales OS takes conference lists with zero contact information then matches it up to existing information and produces an automated list
Issue- Hospital affiliation
For MedTech/health tech companies, finding contact information on executives who work for larger health systems is often hard to track back to their accurate organization

The SalesOS platform is a very powerful tool for enhancing prospecting efforts at scale. I highly recommend augmenting the SalesOS platform with the Engage add-on. The SalesForce integration is also very good if properly implemented.
I would highly recommend two things however, before becoming ZoomInfo customers, if the users do not already have experience, undergo some form of semi formal marketing training. Then, after the contract is signed, go through the process of getting the SalesOS and Engage certificates. This goes for both leadership and front line BDRs. Not doing this will do your team a disservice, especially when starting from zero.

All that being said, I for sure love the platform, and highly recommend the platform, and am thankful for the impact its had on my job.
Just remember- it is all in the setup.
  • Job title classification
  • Key words and tagging
  • Integration
  • Industry Classification
  • Phone number verification
  • Support ticketing
If you’re in a SaaS role, or anything sales, selling something as a service, SalesOS, especially SalesOS + Engage, is a very powerful tool, especially trying to scale with a BizDev team. If that’s the case, I think you’d benefit from a higher tier contract level- Advanced or Elite editions. If you’re in a slower sales cycle, or selling something very niche, maybe a lower level contract would be more beneficial. Maybe commodity or equipment sales.

Our sales team uses it to look up companies, contacts, contact info, set their ICPs, etc. Also, we use Z/I scoops and Z/I intent data to drive leads for our business developer managers. We also use it for marketing campaigns, webcasts, etc. We also have connectors with G2 and Hubspot. Good overall solution and serves its purpose.
  • Advanced search
  • intent data
  • G2 connector
  • Hubspot Connector doesn't always work
  • Intent search should be more seamlessly linked to advanced search so you can see contacts in real-time with what is trending for intent
  • not a big issue but saving over an existing search could be a easier process

We use ZoomInfo SalesOS to locate decision makers for roofing needs for large companies in Ohio and Pennsylvania. We are able to find contact information that is not readily available, so instead of spending hours researching and trying to lock down the person I need to speak with, I am able to do so in just a matter of minutes. Being able to search by job description makes it even easier.
  • Contact Information

  • Updating Information Quicker
It is a great resource to have, but I think sometimes the information is extremely outdated. I will sometimes click the LinkedIn button next to a contacts name, and it will show me that they haven't worked for said company in multiple years. ZoomInfo is one of the tools that is highly essential for any sales individual actively prospecting. The amount of data and intent buyer lists it offers are far greater than those of any other data providers in the market.

At SecPod the sales team uses Zoominfo OS day in and day out for almost all sales activities, such as research, prospecting, analysis, etc. It can be integrated with almost all the top sales CRM systems, such as Salesforce and HubSpot. The quality of the data and the user interface (UI) is very simple and user-friendly.
  • Providing Quality Contact information
  • Intent Buyer
  • Account and Mapping
  • Contact numbers in Middle East
  • Direct contact numbers in Americas
  • Filtering
ZoomInfo is well-suited for sales and marketing teams. The sales team can use it for research and prospecting, while marketing can use it for nurturing new prospects or previously prospected ones.Overall, ZoomInfo is a tool tailor-crafted for business and sales development teams. I use ZoomInfo Sales OS to help build lists of decision makers. I am looking for B2B decision makers that can benefit from our services. This helps create email lists and it also helps me with active outreach. Often, the contacts and information on the company are accurate.
  • Detailed information about companies, often with accurate contact details
  • Linkedin profiles are present on most contacts.
  • Pharmacies have very little data. Hard to find what you are looking for.
  • Often companies are in multiple industries. This can be confusing.

We use ZoomInfo for a few different functions. We support business development and inside sales by monitoring intent data for specific industries and then vet prospects using LinkedIn accounts and other social media links provided by ZoomInfo. Our sales team can then make contact with these prospects using the various methods of communication provided. We also utilize the database to find hard to reach professionals for research studies.
  • Intent data is actionable and current.
  • The volume of contacts.
  • The "most likely to engage" feature provides a glimpse into the easiest way to reach prospects.
  • I would like to see more frequent updates to contact profiles. I have found numerous contacts with outdated information. Reporting inaccuracies needs to be made easier. There are updates that cannot be reported because I don't know the new information that should replace the outdated information.
  • Working with a team inside ZoomInfo is difficult. My team does not need to have the same contact information and we especially do not need to be charged for obtaining the same contact information as other members of our team. It would be great if there was a team function (other than public tags) where we could share contact pools and contribute to combined lists of prospects that have been exported. It would also be great if there was a way to list every contact that was exported by my team all in one place that we could then segment by tag or date.
  • Sometimes intent data points to a location where ZoomInfo has no contacts.
  • I would love to see org charts based on location.
  • There are issues with tagging. I have created public tags that my team members cannot access. (This goes back to my team suggestion.)
  • The events section needs more accurate and detailed information. We rely heavily on trade shows for networking. The trade shows listed contain very few actual exhibitors. For example, there is no information about the National Restaurant Association show which had over 35000 visitors and over 1500 exhibitors. The Natural Products EXPO West which had over 57000 visitors and over 2700 exhibitors. The SEMA show for 2023 isn't listed either and the SEMA show for 2022 lists only 178 exhibitors out of over 1500.
I think ZoomInfo is great for sales prospecting. Following intent data and vetting prospects provide actionable information for sales reps.

I use ZoomInfo to get contact info of prospects and I use the intents to know who is probably in the buying process of our products. I also use the different filters to find company that would be our ICP for various reasons (funding, anniversary, new role, etc.). I also use some of the course available on Zoom Info to help learn more on the OB process.
  • Intents, companies in the buying process for our products
  • Detailed, precise role, which help find the right person
  • Lot of filters, which helps find the right company to target
  • Too much manual work (add AI maybe)
  • Direct contact possibility
  • More user cusomization
Better suited to find prospects and the right role and company

ZoomInfo SalesOS is used to help uncover critical information related to target companies such as annual revenue, locations, and company size. What is more critical though is how we use ZoomInfo to find prospects that fit our ideal customer profile and gather their contact information for sales and marketing efforts.

This information allows us to find new prospective customers and the right contacts at those companies, making our goal of consistent growth a reality.
  • Provide business contact information
  • Provide data on company size, growth, revenue, etc.
  • Find similar companies to ones you already know in order to broaden your target list.
  • Better crossover between users internally. This has improved over the years, but there still can be some duplication of work
  • WebSights - great tool, but far too often am I unable to nail down the exact location the browsing came from
  • Advanced support for niche industries - ZoomInfo does not always recognize the industries or technologies that many industrial, manufacturing, and construction companies use.
Anyone who is prospecting needs to have ZoomInfo. It is the best tool for uncovering prospects and its not even close. I have used many other tools in this space, and the quality and quantity of information found from ZoomInfo is above and beyond what others offer.
