Overall Satisfaction with Mendix

Mendix functions as a Rapid Application Development/Low-Code Development Platform within our organization, primarily addressing our Web and Mobile App development needs. The platform has been instrumental in creating various applications, including digitizing the time capture process for plant employees, streamlining the workflow for our Request for Payment process, and facilitating other Supplier integration scenarios.

Because most of our apps work closely with our main system (ERP) and other tools, we went with Mendix. It's good at easily connecting with lots of different systems, which is exactly what we need. Another thing we like about it is that it can handle growth well, and its pricing is straightforward and easy to understand.

Drawing from my hands-on experience with Mendix, I can confidently state that the platform aptly fulfills our needs for web application development. Mendix stands out by providing a marketplace replete with pre-built templates and widgets. This feature empowers users to leverage readily available components, hastening the development process and contributing to an enhanced overall usability of the platform.
This should be room for improvement, particularly as we are presently utilizing the Mendix platform deployed on the SAP BTP Cloud. The standard practice is to route support tickets to SAP Support. While it's crucial to highlight that all our issues have been successfully addressed, there exists an opportunity for improvement in the speed of resolving these support tickets. Although we haven't faced any unresolved issues, refining the efficiency of the support ticket turnaround time would further elevate the overall support experience.
Mendix excels in scenarios involving Business Process Automation, making it a strong choice for applications requiring workflow automation, including processes like request approvals, document management, and other business workflows.Conversely, Mendix may be less suitable for projects that demand highly customized solutions with extensive custom coding. Its primary focus on low-code development may not align well with the requirements of projects that heavily rely on intricate and specialized coding.
