Overall Satisfaction with Mendix App Platform

We use the Mendix platform to speed up our development. With Mendix we can focus on the processes instead of the technology. We use Mendix in our organization to manage client data (hosting details, user accounts, services, contracts and integration with third party software). Because Mendix is flexible, we can quickly integrate new feature requests from our sales and support department. This allows us to serve our customers in the best possible way.
  • Fast. It is extremely easy to develop apps using the Mendix App platform. Within hours you can create a proof of concept. Using the intregrated project management tool, which is based on SCRUM you can build a completely validated app within days.
  • Easy to connect with external data sources. With clicks you can import and export data.
  • Multi-platform by default. All tools are in place to create the best experience for every device.
  • A license could be too expensive for small businesses. Some solutions could be built in days with Mendix, where it would take a few weeks compared to common development. A special tier between free and paid would be great.
  • Learning Mendix is easy. Just start with the free version and see for yourself how easy it is to develop an app.
The license based on objects didn't work out for us.
If the needed solution is unclear and/or future regulations or competition have a big impact on business requirements, Mendix is your platform. It offers tools to manage the complete lifecycle for app development, so new features can be easily reported and developed using the Mendix platform.
