Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Entra ID

We use Entra ID as our primary form of login authentication.

Pros

  • Security
  • Ease of Setup.
  • Ease of resetting users' 2FA.

Cons

  • Consistency
  • Reduction in hundreds of hours of 1 on 1 tech support time for re-registering users.
  • Reduction in hundreds of IT Tickets for password resets.
We use an on-prem AD server that syncs to Entra.
Yes, we use it for SSO with Google Workspace.
No on-premises, but we do have a few SaaS applications connected to Entra ID.
Some changes, but overall, everyone has been pleased with the move over to Entra ID.
We have enjoyed Entra ID more, due to its ability to store password hashes and not need a persistent connection to our on-prem servers. If the connection goes down, users can no longer reset passwords, but they can still log in. With Duo, they could not log in if the on-prem connection failed.

It is well-suited for a hybrid or cloud environment. I would not suggest it for a company that solely uses on-premises authentication for logging into computers and email.
