Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Power BI

Use PowerBI for analytics and dashboards that integrate various monitoring channels. We have a PowerBI team that creates dashboards and rolls up results to the C-Suite level executives. We base a lot of our work analytics and product roll-outs based on what we see in PowerBI and how we can stay ahead of the competition.

Cons

  • Some of the dashboards look a bit outdated.
  • Better ways to cross-analyze results.
  • Embedding dashboards on internal and external websites.
  • Fairly good analytics.
  • Integrates pretty well with some of our sites.
  • It could be more robust, like Quantum Metric, or something similar.
Power BI is a great tool and very helpful in many ways. But for 2025, it definitely could be updated and upgraded. Being able to embed charts and widgets easily is also a helpful feature. We can embed charts, but it's not always seamless, and data can sometimes go missing or not show up correctly.
We actually chose both Power BI and Quantum Metric. We use them for different things, but they are very similar tools. Quantum does a good job of integrating with our website and app traffic, whereas we use Power BI for data analysis and importing data sets for further review. I think eventually, we could choose one platform, but Power BI would have to really upgrade.

Yes

It's a good internal tool for colleagues with login and access. However, if you want to share dashboards with colleagues or external parties, it can be difficult to ensure they're seeing the same results you are. It would be helpful to embed PowerBI widgets and dashboards into emails or web pages more efficiently.
