Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Powerpoint

I am the author of an Amazon best seller book about presentations. I have loved and hated Powerpoint during my long career as a professional trainer and presenter. However, I have to accept that it is still the best software for presentations. If you know more than the basic stuff, you can make amazing things with Powerpoint.
  • Transitions
  • Animations
  • Formating images
  • Flexibility
  • Widely used
  • Powerpoint is missing capabilities of going beyond presentations. They could launch features for creating social network posts, for example.
  • The ability to zoom in and out has improved, but could be easier.
  • Robust set of features
  • Easy to use transitions and animations
  • Compatibility with other Microsoft products
  • We use it for the core of our business. We rely on Powerpoint to deliver our services.
  • Each user pays for his own licence, so it makes it a lot less expensive than any other alternative.
I was amazed [by] Prezi's concept and we used it for a while. But it became complicated to share, edit and use compared with Powerpoint. Besides, Powerpoint included a feature that looked like zooming [which] was the main advantage of Prezi.

Definitely the king for presentations. Very flexible and easy to use. We also use it for sending interactive proposals and product presentations. Not that good for designing other kind of pieces you might need.
