Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use SharePoint as a "Home Screen" for internal staff. When you open your browser, it defaults to this screen. It is used to navigate most departmental functions and link you to your software that you need to use as well. This helps with making everything an employee may need centrally localized in one spot.

If you are looking for a hub style environment and a way for all your information to be in one place then I believe it is beneficial. We have tried to use it as a dashboard style system that would need to be updated weekly/daily and it didnt work so well for that.
