Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use SharePoint for our revenue cycle educational/ training tools & resources. We have documents stored along with recorded Webinars on various topics. In addition, we have commonly used links to access websites, applications, reporting tools, etc.
Pros
Recorded Webinars
Application Links including Facility FAQs
Training documents, PPT documents, Announcements, etc.
Cons
I've had an issue recently moving a recorded Webinar to the correct/ desired location on the SharePoint Site.
It would be helpful to be able to access Webinars that would help/ assist the "owner(s)" of the SharePoint Site.
The more "user friendly" Microsoft can make SharePoint for both the "owner(s)" of the Site and users... the better.
Are there existing tools that can tell "owners" of the Site what documents, recorded Webinars, application links, etc. are actually reviewed/ accessed?
Return on Investment
Overall, the product achieves a very strong ROI. It would just be good as stated previously if we knew how many users access not only the Site but specific documents, applications, etc. inside the Site.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope
We use this as our Intranet. All documents are stored in Sharepoint so that everyone has access to it. And since it is in the cloud, it is accessible at any time. We can also easily ensure a particular document, folder or library can have restricted access. The use of metadata is also useful when filtering or searching for a particular document. The fact that multiple users can edit and collaborate on the document at the same time is also really useful. It also keeps previous version(s) which can be rolled back at any time.
Pros
Easy collaboration.
Able to specify specific access.
Notifications from workflows.
Metadata
Cons
It is not easy to identify "archived" documents. When searching for documents, all documents show. The only way to do this is to put "archive" in the document name before setting the metadata to "archived" (eg [ARCHIVED] Document Name).
Return on Investment
SharePoint has delivered measurable ROI at our organisation through improved compliance, reduced manual effort, and better collaboration.

We use MS SharePoint to share documents and handle workflow options. We use SQL in our test and production environments. We use it for Acumatica (our ERP) and our client facing websites/billing.
Pros
SQL has come a long way in reliability and dependability. It allows large datasets and does really well with JSON.
MS SharePoint works well with sharing files and workflow
