Microsoft Teams Improves Communication and Helps Build Teams that Enhance Productivity
Overall Satisfaction with Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams is a great tool for keeping teams connected. It has a great chat feature that allows for instantly messaging colleagues. Microsoft Teams also has the ability to have team meetings with or without video to keep teams connected and on the same page. It can be used to coordinate meetings both internally and with outside consultants and vendors. When you also incorporate the mobile app in addition to the desktop version, Microsoft teams is even more flexible. It is a great tool.
Pros
- Allows you to set up teams for specific projects as well as a team for the entire department to keep everyone in contact
- Great Help Section and training available through the app.
- Very good Chat feature
- Capability to host / coordinate Conference Calls
- Easy to use Team Meetings
- Calendar Feature to help keep track of your schedule.
Cons
- Video quality was unstable at times but may have been a reflection of connection speeds more than of the capabilities of Teams.
- Can be a memory hog and cause computer performance issues at times. Be sure you have plenty of RAM on your computer to avoid issues if you plan to keep Team open at all times.
- Need a more intuitive way to coordinate the Calendar function in Teams with external calendars so you don't have to coordinate between several different calendars.
