Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Used in a variety of teams to facilitate remote collaboration - working sessions and substituting for the lack of physical whiteboards and walls to pin things on.

Pros

  • Collaborative working sessions.
  • Brainstorming.
  • Collecting shared repositories of ideas and insights.
  • Allowing people to comment on presentations/boards.

Cons

  • Security and data sharing concerns - hard for us to use with corporate clients.
  • Export to other formats/applications - as editable content.
  • Has enabled us to continue collaborating through the pandemic.
  • Enables globally distributed teams to work together without the travel expense.
  • Supports very impressive client collaboration sessions which have led to new business.
Again, the data security options have caused issues for our ITS team and some concerns around working with clients and confidential data. This is a shame!
It works fine by itself. I'm not involved in tech integration around SSO, so can't speak to that.

Miro has much richer functionality and is much easier for new users to understand. We can quickly make high-quality session designs, structure collaboration spaces, etc.
Great for: Remote working, distributed teams, 'clear desk' offices where people need lasting ways to share moving content and ideas, structured and freeform collaboration sessions, prototyping, and staying organised and coordinated across a team.
