Overall Satisfaction with Miro

It is being used across the whole organization upon request. It is used by my team as an internal collaboration tool and workshop facilitation tool with clients.
  • It has capabilities that help emulate virtual workshop experiences.
  • Intuitive UX for those familiar with PowerPoint.
  • Miro offers real-time collaboration for hybrid teams.
  • In my experience, the integration with PowerPoint is not great.
  • Improved workshop participation capability (attendees able to vote on stickies, embed polling, etc.) without needing to access the board.
  • Miro allows for quick workshop preparation. Consultants adept in PowerPoint can quickly pick up the functionality to design a board, and focus their time on facilitation/prep. This has allowed my team to deliver impactful workshops with clients with very little lead time.
The export functions are okay once you get the hang of them. But I still had some challenges with integrating [Miro} into applications I typically used to create external-facing documents. It's so seamless when sharing collaborating internally, but more challenging when stakeholders are external.
It has been a differentiator in leading impactful client workshops with a distributed delivery team and client participants.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Klaxoon has more functionality for presentations/workshops, but is far less intuitive and has a big learning curve. Mentimeter is superior for getting input more passively from participants through polling - I wish Miro had better options there.
Miro is great for brainstorming and suitable for workshops. In my experience, it's less appropriate for deliverable designs. It's not great if you need to quickly export inputs into client deliverables/playback (PPT, text from stickies, etc.).
