Overall Satisfaction with Miro

For school projects, I use it to collab with my team to create ideas and organize our thoughts. When I use it for work, we also use it mainly to discuss and brainstorm. It helps address the problem where we have a collaborative space where we can do it live as if we were in person. It wasn't used by the whole department but I often used it in my meetings.

Pros

  • Live collaboration.
  • Bringing ideas together.
  • In-person-like meetings.

Cons

  • People not used to technology, find it difficult to use. Maybe if there was some sort of easy mode where it just shows simple tools, like pen, eraser, shapes.
  • On the copy, copy an image of it, instead of having to export it.
  • Layers.
  • Text styles, heading 1-6 body, etc.
  • Definitely gave us extra time to go over something else.
  • Made it easier to understand the explanation of others.
  • Fun and interactive.
I like the tools they provide and they're not hard to use. I like their additions of tools, all of them have a function and use, and they're all useful.
For me, it's easy to use but there have been some cases where I would introduce this to an audience online, as an ice breaker, most of them on their phones, found it difficult to use. However, I still find that it is easy to use. I also found that older people who aren't experienced with technology find it difficult to navigate and use.
It has changed everything! Instead of having google meet for mic and camera, then screen share my online whiteboard, and then when I need to explain something, make a new page in the whiteboard or if my teammate has to explain something, they have to share their screen then get out their whiteboard... it's a long process. Miro is all of that, all in one.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

No

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

More appropriate - creating ideas, brainstorming, keeping track of todos. Less appropriate - creating good copy content. It's good to use for brainstorming ideas for a book, but it's not a place you would write your book, use it as a presentation, or in general.
