Overall Satisfaction with Miro
Miro is used widely through our department for interactive design charrettes, critiques, and presentations. It has been used as a replacement for in-person sketching and design development, as well as presentations to reviewers.
Pros
- Ability to annotate on drawings.
- Following along with peoples design process.
- Ease of use and access for new and guest users.
Cons
- Long load times for high resolution images.
- Allow locked items to be copy and pasted without unlocking first.
- A feature to easily share parts of board on social media.
- Ability to work remotely.
- Improved discussions.
- Delays in presentation.
Miro is the only way we have been able to conduct design charrettes and reviews that is as close to in-person as we can get. In the academic sphere, it is helpful to have several Miro boards for brainstorming and workshopping. It is easy to upload precedents and create mood boards that would not happen in person.
