Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Within my research group, we use Miro for strategy and manuscript planning. I also use this with colleagues for brainstorming and project planning. I also use this tool in the classroom to perform affinity diagramming exercises and brainstorming activities to identify high-level themes and to hear diverse opinions. The flexibility of the product allows application in many use cases.
  • Mindmapping.
  • Project planning.
  • Affinity diagramming as a group.
  • Exporting pics is a little clunky to figure out.
  • Changing bolding and font could be more obvious.
  • Easier to plan out projects and keep track of research ideas.
  • Made it easier to link projects and understand staffing needs.
Trained team members to use it so we were all using the same product so that increased adoption.
We have flexibility in academia to use any products we want so this was not an issue.
This tool is very valuable, especially during the pandemic - it has allowed us to better map progress and link new project ideas together iteratively.

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Good for group projects where want to gather lots of ideas/opinions and cluster to find themes. Good for brainstorming. Challenging if too many individuals using it at the same time.
