Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Miro for Program Increment planning which allows us to plan out the quarter and what we expect to accomplish. We use it for ideation whenever needing to come up with a new idea or voting on an approach. Retrospectives are also popular use for us to reflect on what went well, what needs to be improve, action items and kudos.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Allows for voting amongst participants.
Collaboration across teams in a virtual setting.
Being able to save and reference board when needed.

Cons

Having to lock backgrounds of text areas so that participants do not accidentally adjust the format.

Improved productivity in PI planning
Great collaboration and efficient way to conduct retrospectives
Never losing the data/activities that were conducted/discussed

Collaboration

Yes it has impacted our organization in a positive way. It is one of our most popular collaboration tool. I use it for many aspects of my role and outside of my role as well due to the efficiency and ease of use. I will continue to use it due to it's great capabilities.

Likelihood to Recommend

Miro is perfectly suited for remote work but also in person collaboration. Due the ability of saving, documenting notes, thoughts etc. in a timely manner, it is efficient. May be less appropriate if the ideation is preferred to be done on a physically white board, but a recorder could transfer information to a Miro if needed so there is always something to reference.
