Improved ability to facilitate workshops and get to the root cause of problems for the online/hybrid working world
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
We use Miro for diagnostic and problem solving work as part of our quality improvement projects. This includes process and pathway mapping, brainstorming and ideas generation workshops, creating fishbone diagrams for root cause analysis, and developing driver diagrams and logic models.
Pros
- Ease of use
- Useful templates
- process mapping
Cons
- the connecting arrows and size of arrow heads are quite thin and small, and sometimes would be good to be able to make these larger or thicker
- there is no line function - i have to make a thin rectangle sometimes to create lines
- some boxes (especially thin rectangles as above) are hard to pick up or extend without zooming in massively
- Enabled us to continue our approach and workshops online during and following the pandemic, changing the way we work
- improved efficiency - no longer need to write up results of in-person process mapping etc following the session
- Enabled quick and easy diagnostic and process mapping across the organisation
We tend to use Miro individually or with a lead facilitator in a workshop, rather than collaborating across boards - maybe something we should explore further as a team. However, when joining meetings virtually having a white board on screen share does facilitate engagement and collaboration
