Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Miro allows us to collaborate efficiently across the entire company. Predominantly due to covid we've moved to an autonomous way of working which has meant hires from outside of Melbourne, making cross team collaboration super easy. With over 8 teams and over 500 employees Miro has certainly made working remotely as effecient as possible.

Pros

  • Browser based software making it easy to pickup anywhere
  • Real-time on-screen collaboration
  • File structure presets to kickoff workshops with ease

Cons

  • It constantly asks me to login, it never remembers my details (SSO)
  • It can get really slow if theres a big group of you in there
  • The file search function is frustrating as it truncates filenames on dropdown making it hard to find certain versions of documents.
  • It's allowed us as a company to work remotely efficiently.
  • It's saved a tonne of time with its preset templates
  • It's giving the company the ability to hire outside of our state
It needs work with it's search function and general UI.
It's allowed us to look outside of our state for hires as it's another tool that helps us stay remote and connected

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

No

As a designer, FigJam is more up my alley as I understand the UI and it integrates seamlessly with the projects I work on. I see Miro as a better tool for PM's, as those are the predominant users.
It's a great tool if you want to hop on and collaborate with colleagues remotely. The ability to draw and map out workshops is especially good as a product designer looking to understand customer problems and business solutions.
