Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I mainly use Miro to visualize what a new or improved process would like into practice. Besides creating flowcharts, I often participate in workshops with the product team to prioritize initiatives. I've also used it to organize feedback from user interviews. I recently facilitated an OKR-setting session with my team and we used Miro.

Pros

  • Creating flowcharts
  • Organizing ideas in a coherent way
  • Facilitating workshops

Cons

  • Even though I use it often, I often find myself struggling to remember what each shape in a flowchart means in practice...so how to use it.
  • I didn't like any of the OKR setting templates provided by Miro. I found them too complex.
  • Reduced time spent organizing information
  • Increased team engagement by participating in brainstorming session
  • Increased time spent doing fixes because people from different team can review process in a visual way together
Remote team need a tool like Miro for brainstorming, product prioritization etc. It's really easy to get everyone together, use one of their templates and get started, having everyone to collaborate.
The UX and UI of Miro are simply better. Miro feels and looks great. In my opinion, the template list is also more robust. Lastly, I didn't like how boards are organized in Mural, it felt super clunky to have to put everything into folders.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Definitely the vast number of templates. It's got everything you need to carry on a successful workshop or session with a team. If you're into designing new processes, then using Miro is a must. Even if you don't have any experience, it's super easy to use and find your way around. And, if you're facilitating a session you'll have all tools you need (timer, music, automatic organizing on post-its).
