Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro as a team collaboration board, across the various teams I'm aligned with. The use case is ensuring that as a team, we have a cohesive, one-stop shop application to accommodate our needs, track progress and keep each team member aligned on deliverables. We also use for ideation sessions when doing bi-annual and annual planning.

Pros

  • Collaboration tool
  • Helpful themes to accommodate what it's being used for
  • Never loses the data
  • Easy to access
  • Somewhat user friendly

Cons

  • Not user friendly for those not tech savvy
  • Can be intimidating
  • Would be great if it had more capabilities for notes to be taken. There is a space for that, but that's an instance and would be great if you could have multiple instances.
  • Writing in the post its are limited and how you have to size up the font can be frustrating
  • It has been daunting for those unfamiliar with the tool, where it takes longer to apply updates
  • the adoption of the tool is slow in some cases, which is unfortunate
  • It does a great job of capturing thoughts, ideas and statuses in a place that never goes away, nor do you have to worry about constantly saving
It was slow to be adopted by the company. More options for tutorials or easy to navigate functionality or tutorials would be great.
I've integrated it with a few applications and it's not easy. EG excel or spreadsheet integration is clunky where you have to know how to navigate the cells and size out the sheet. Many users get frustrated with this.
It has positively impacted the teams across the regions and the org, especially when you have a "power hour" where all users are on and you're able to see the Real time updates and information. It's a great tool for collaboration, especially when you're not all centrally located in one area.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

No

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

I love to use it for brainstorming and collaboration. Those are the best uses that I've found. It has also been used as team huddle board where you can monitor the team's progress on deliverables and open items.
For ideation, there are a few great templates that are in the tool that can be leveraged.
