Overall Satisfaction with Miro

Daily use for brainstorming and processing design ideas. Heavily reliable for making quick design prototypes like charts and graphs to understand UX. Shareable in real-time with multiple users so that we can process ideas in real-time together even if working remotely. I personally use it also to ghater references and sketch quick ideas to pitch.

Pros

  • Brainstorming board.
  • Quick visual prototypes with notes and flow charts.
  • Real time sharing.

Cons

  • Would love vector based sketching like Figma.
  • More tools for visual sketching in vector.
  • Design team can be more fast in producing content for new ideas.
  • We can iterate quickly to push for the best result.
  • Flexibility in case of emergencies, we can work remotely on the same tool.
Extremely useful for remote work, we can use the same board with multiple members across the globe. It's used in my profession among designers.
Like I said previously. If I had to make a classification, Figma would be n1 and Miro n2. Because I have a more visually oriented design approach, Figma allows me to be highly flexible in sketching and making vector-based concepts for my works; since I have to communicate with artists daily, this is extremely important for me. Figma is also good for making documentation; I can easily make pitches and docs directly there. I would love to have these features on Miro. I noticed among my colleagues that Miro is more popular for design departments that don't need visual representations like mine. Still, since we are working together daily, it would be nice to have everything in one place without switching back and forth between Miro and Figma.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Suited to working with multiple team members on the same project, brainstorming ideas, and putting them together in pitchable forms. Figma does this well and is not so suited for sketching and drawing; that is why I go back and forth between these two tools. But I would love to have everything in one place.
