Miro Great tool for visual collaboration
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I am a software engineer working with MSCI on implementing data and ML pipelines. For me and may team Miro serves as a technical board where we can brainstorm architectures and logic flow. It allows us to effectively communicate technical flowchart while working remotely within our team. Also once we have finalized the flow and are part the ideation phase, it becomes part of the documentation for future reference.
Pros
- Interface is clear and intuitive and easy to navigate.
- The tools, shapes, etc provided are not overwhelming and the search interface is able to point you to the stuff you need to create boards.
- Collaborating is easy as multiple people can work on it without any issues
Cons
- The grouping of project can be a bit more streamlined. The main page can feel cluttered
- Miro teams integration is still not at par so that could be improved
- Dark mode could also be added
- Easy brainstorming and clarity on implementation detail.
- It helps us make sure the team is on the same page regarding a design and enhancements or modification is easy in the design phase.
- Miro sometimes is difficult to share with relevant people due to a bit opaque permissions management
This is one of the best things for a team working remotely. I work with people from all over the world and it allows us to collaborate synchronously and async really effectively. It helps us get across our design ideas to relevant stakeholders so that the work we do in implementation is transparent and is communicated well.
For flowcharting I have used drawio but that is way limited than what Miro feature set is so if ee have a subscription than Miro is ehat our team prefers
Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?
