Versatile and Adaptable Platform for Creative Collaboration
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
I use Miro extensively to facilitate retro ceremonies, brain storm on key challenges, build a strategy for our migration plan, build timelines for strategic initiatives
Pros
- Loads of prefilled templates for preview gives a better view of what to chose from
- I am impressed with the fact that it integrates well with ADO and fetches the ticket number on Miro. User can launch ADO from Miro which is awesome
- When you share the board link with many users, Miro provides the ability to lock frame which is helpful in only visualising what the user should see
Cons
- I spoke about this to Miro folks when they were in ASOS on 30/04 and also provided a feedback. The Timelines and tables is useful but it can be better if you
- Provide the ability to move the items up and down in order of their priority
- Add formatting and indentions to move the child items under the header to the right
- Difficult to quantify as I can't speak for other PDT's within my organisation but surely it has helped our PDT to keep a track on our FY25 goals as we have plotted our vision and mission on Miro.
- We measure the progress against the forecast and review it our Sprint connects
I recall using the recording video option to celebrate a success launch of our new feature and a workshop which we attended. There were these round colour bubbles where team recorded their talk tracks which could be played back by anyone across regions which was super cool. This has impacted the team in way of energising them and promoted their thinking abilities o thay can think about new stuff for our monthly connects
Ethe engineers recently used Miro to come up with Network Topology diagram without requiring to access draw.io or smart io tools. It was good to see the Engineers make an effort to present the diagram to Security team facilizing important conversations and decisions as back of that
