Overall Satisfaction with Miro

We use Miro across the product development lifecycle, mainly for workshopping new concepts, exploring user needs, and rough prototyping. Miro helps us have one central place for all remote employees to contribute to collaborative meetings in real time and visualise thoughts, which helps us progress quicker.

Pros

  • Diagramming
  • Ideation
  • Tables
  • Jira integration

Cons

  • Roadmaps and timelines.
  • Drawing
  • Increased productivity.
  • Improved collaboration and cross-team visibility.
  • Reduce cost of in-person workshops.
It is very intuitive to use, even for new users. Advanced features like facilitator tools and integrations take a little bit of time to truly master.
Simple sticky notes are the most powerful and versatile tool on Miro. From ideating to collecting feedback to voting, sticky notes can be used in so many ways. The ability to upload PDFS, photos, and GIFs seamlessly also proves useful in many cases to act as a central hub for a project.
Miro definitely cuts down on the number of tools I would need to use to achieve the same output. For example, what I may have put in a Word doc before, I can just type in Miro and share as easily. Simple tables or data that I would have needed to use Excel for can also be done with Miro tables. Even the need for slides is reduced as it's so easy to create Miro frames quickly instead.
Miro is much more intuitive for new users and offers more comprehensive features and integrations with other tools.

Yes

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Miro again?

Yes

Miro is fantastic early on in the product development lifecycle. It enables you to bring people together with one reference point, show visuals or documents, and capture feedback and additional details in real time. However, it is not as useful later in the development cycle, when lots more technical detail is needed. Instead, we will use Figma for detailed prototyping and Confluence and Jira for capturing requirements and to-dos.
