Overall Satisfaction with Miro

I use Miro as my workshop go-to. I work with remote employees so Miro becomes our virtual whiteboard. I can quickly throw together a Miro to get thoughts on paper and it acts as a record I can look back on to determine next steps. I've also used it for extensive journey mapping and documentation.

Pros

  • Easy to get started
  • Templates are reliable
  • Super users have the flexibility to use more advanced features

Cons

  • I'm curious to see how Miro will use AI. Boards that synthesize themselves would be incredible
  • Follow-up and action items integrated with Jira or Microsoft Teams
  • I tried to use the co-pilot integration but it wound up being more work than just doing things manually
  • I can't imagine not having a tool like this to get stakeholders' thoughts on paper
It's pretty great but I do constantly run into issues with knowing who can access Miro and having to generate passwords. That can get cumbersome.
Post-it notes and mind-mapping functionality along with all the templates. The timer is pretty useful too for keeping workshop activities time boxed.
No, I can't say it's an all-in-one. As I mentioned before, I use it for workshops but I have to switch to other tools pretty quickly afterwards.

Do you think Miro delivers good value for the price?

Not sure

Are you happy with Miro's feature set?

Yes

Did Miro live up to sales and marketing promises?

I wasn't involved with the selection/purchase process

Did implementation of Miro go as expected?

I wasn't involved with the implementation phase

Would you buy Miro again?

No

It's great for any type of workshopping but the second I have to build something to fidelity, I switch over to Figma or Canva
