Miro The best whiteboard and charting software on the market
Overall Satisfaction with Miro
Usually we use Miro to create flowcharts and rough sketches of roadmaps and other visualization. It is great for collaborative projects like creating boards for tracking staff activity, open shifts and onboarding in real time. We use it for out brainstorming session while discussing new projects and expansion projects. The feature we most like about Miro is the ability to share the boards with multiple teams.
Pros
- The user-interface is very intuitive and easy to learn
- Easily imports files and media links.
- Excellent visual cues such as highlights, comments, cursor
Cons
- There is no way to change the font style on specific nodes and the node change cannot be changed either.
- Needs more readily available structure that i can directly add to a board and use, the same with templates.
- The visibility of the pen reduces when i use big nodes
- No autosave feature, sometimes the workboard erases itself when there is poor connection
- Miro has reduced out time to market and project delivery time by half of what it was before.
- It has increased workflow efficiency and internal operations.
- Since Miro is inexpensive it has reduced our Software cost as well.
The visualize prototype tool and AI playground are the tool that i use most. They have helped me map my train of thoughts and properly visualize them and chart them out for later use. Since it ahs an infinite canvas the zoom in and zoom out feature help to fully use the entire board, which helps while focusing on a single part of the project and the entire project as a whole.
Yes absolutely, due to Miro the number of different software we use has reduced which has also reduced our software cost by a lot. It also helps that Miro is very inexpensive. We don't need multiple whiteboard and mind map software's due to Miro. Miro and its various feature like the AI playground are often times all we need.
Lucidworks does not have an infinite canvas hence interconnected projects cannot be showcased and planned out properly. It does not have AI feature like Miro does. The real time collaboration features are lacking and not as seamless as Miro. While it does provide more pre-made structures and templates i believe Miro is better overall.
