  • Mixpanel offers a high degree of data analysis, some times to an excessive degree. It does a great job of allowing you to view and analyze exactly how your audience uses your product, and enables great testing capabilities.
  • Solved the issue of funnel analysis for us, as well as retention analysis.
  • Not great at scaling in certain aspects, most noticeably the user analysis flows. Does a great job scaling in other areas however, such as retention.
  • We made many of our product and design decisions based purely off of Mixpanel data - it literally drove our company's decisions. In terms of quantifiable ROI that wasn't really applicable to our company, though we saw increases in user retention, length of visits, and overall user growth due to our use of Mixpanel.
In the same situation again I wouldn't know what we would have done without Mixpanel (we had a consumer oriented community website). It was invaluable for our purposes.
