Overall Satisfaction with monday.com

There are different teams of peopole using monday at my company, and it is mainly used with the following purposes:
  • Raodmaps of product development
  • Inventory of devices
  • Product documents HUB
  • Meetings management
  • Scrum boards:
    • Product backlog
    • Sprint backlog
    • Retrospective board
    • Bugs record
  • KPIs:
    • Burndown chart
    • Velocity
    • % Of User Story accomplished for sprint
    • Planned work Vs Unplanned work
    • Bugs historical records
    • Workload
    • Counter of users in our apps

Pros

  • Flexibility to create boards of any type
  • Very wide variety of type of columns
  • It is very easy to share boards
  • Application is very stable, it is very weird that it fails

Cons

  • Formulas column has very limited options, we have to use the API to export information to sheets
  • Graphs options are really limited too, regarding type of graphics so as the way to set them up
  • Something that can be improved on the User Experience is that when you modify any thing on a panel of graphs, once you close the graph, it takes you up to the first graph, instead of keeping you on the graph you're setting
  • Some tool to process data from several boards, for instance, we have different boards with information on workload for specific team, but, if we want to sumarize information on workload for the whole team, it is hard to link all the information
  • Save cost by having a way to visualize the time inverted to specific tasks
  • Having a way to track and improve the work capacity of the team
  • Having a better sight of the costs of the department
I think the only thing it can be improved is the way to manage information, specially when it comes to cross information from different boards, tools to link information is limited, columns like formulas are hard to use and have limited options. Maybe a way to work more similar to Excel would help to better manage the information
I have experienced very little problems managing monday.com, but, when I have a question I always have support people that helps me, also, when I want to test new products of monday.com, I have had access to trial tests by support agents, I always have rapid response by the Monday Chat
In general it is good, really stable, it is flexible and easy to use, it is useful when it comes to cross information between multiple work teams, it is also useful to all the company since you can create boards for any department. Plus, it has really good options to create KPIs focused on development teams

It is well suited for companys that focus on product development, it has great options to create any board to manage teams, meetings, inventory, product backlogs, etc.
It is also a good option for development teams because it has the option of using an API to make it easier to use and connect to another apps

It is less appropiate if you want to process and manage big volume of information
