Overall Satisfaction with monday CRM

Dr. Squatch uses monday CRM to plan out yearly promotional marketing calendars for our entire organization, and many other teams, namely our Lifecycle Marketing and Partnership teams, use monday as a campaign management tool. Using monday ensures that all cross-functional teams stay well-informed and updated on all of the details surrounding campaigns. It has allowed us to streamline communication to the appropriate stakeholders on each team so that nothing falls through the cracks; in such a fast-paced environment, this sort of tool is absolutely critical to keeping us organized. The scope of our use case is project and campaign management.

Pros

  • Project management: We have various copywriters and graphic designers that may be involved with creating assets for any given campaign series. monday allows us to easily assign campaigns to specific team members, and allows those team members to filter to tasks assigned to them. This way, everyone can see the broad scope of projects being worked on across the team, but also stay focused on their individual projects.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: monday allows our company to stay connected yet organized by using one central board as the guiding light for our yearly promotional calendar. It's easy to break down a project into multiple components, and assign out each piece of the project to various stakeholders across the company to ensure nothing slips through the cracks. We can also rely on monday's calendar view to easily visualize our organizational pipeline.
  • Progress tracking: We rely on monday's button features to easily visualize where each campaign is in its stage of completion. This makes it extremely easy to quickly get a sense of how we're tracking on our progress, in one quick glance, without having to take extra time to double click into each project and manually view each asset. Instead, we can easily understand where everything is by viewing the buttons we've set up to correlate with each stage in our process (copy, design, QA, partner review, etc.).

Cons

  • Though we rely on monday's calendar view, it would be much more helpful if the calendar operated a bit more like Google Sheets, where we could easily leave notes/tag members on our team with updates.
  • Global search: We've used monday for so long, that our board is quiet extensive. We also haven't had a consistent naming convention during the many years I've worked at Dr. Squatch. At times, I'd love a more comprehensive search feature, to make it easy to find to old work we've done even if I don't type in the exact name as it was entered. Perhaps a tagging system could be useful here, to allow us to categorize certain projects that we work on.
  • monday CRM helps us expedite our asset creation process by allowing us easily track and balance the workloads for every member of our team. This makes us more efficient, ensuring there are no gaps in our workweeks.
monday CRM is very intuitive, and easily customizable. No one on our team has needed any special training to become accustomed with monday's interface; it's easy to navigate and visualize all of the projects coming down our team's pipeline.
I personally perfer monday's interface to Asana's, although they are both very similar in concept. I also feel that monday is better suited for cross-functional project management, which is something necessary to the way Dr. Squatch operates. Asana may be better suited to companies who have smaller teams and a simpler scope of project management, but for a company with the complexity of ours, monday's customizable features and ease of visibility was the better suited platform for our needs.

Our Integrated/brand marketing and Lifecycle marketing teams find monday CRM to be particularly useful for project management. Integrated marketing uses monday to build out our yearly promotional calendar, which keeps the entire company informed on all the launch and sale details for the year, across both retail and digital channels. The Lifecycle marketing team uses monday CRM to track individual campaign projects, mainly consisting of email asset creation. There are times when monday is not the preferred CRM platform, such as data and analytics tracking, project performance tracking, or scenarios when immediate feedback is required.
