Overall Satisfaction with MS SharePoint
MS Sharepoint is heavily used in storing un-controlled documents as a library tool. I am the administrator for our department and it helps to be able to control what folders are shared outside of our department.
- Library search
- Folder organization
- Controlled view access/write access
- Permission request is just a click
- Permission grants done via email notification
- Structure of shared via parent folder or individual is difficult to determine until you dig through settings
- Sometimes grant access does not get executed and would need to be redone
- Versioning control when you have multi users can get tedious as to what was last worked on
- Control access within the department once groups are set is easy
- When a folder or file is individually modified access differently from the parent is hard to track
Have used Box and MS Team which is add on to MS Sharepoint.
