Overall Satisfaction with Namecheap

We use Namecheap to buy and manage the domain names we own. At the end of the day, most domain registrars provide the same exact service, but we always come back to Namecheap for a few reasons. First, their UX and UI are insanely easy to use, there's never any confusion. Second, they have great prices. Third, they never use shady re-registration practices that other registrars rely on.
  • Pricing is industry best.
  • They make it easy and quick to renew domains.
  • They have great privacy WhoIs features for free.
  • I wonder if it's feasible to have bulk discounts or a loyalty program?
  • They may have this already, but features to buy and sell premium domains, or browse ones for sale, would be great.
  • We don't use their hosting because there are higher quality options, but it'd be great if they did better hosting so we could keep it all under one roof.
  • Keeping all our domains all in one account is easy to manage.
  • Picking and choosing which services to renew makes it effortless to manage and saves time and potential future headaches.
  • Having free WhoIs privacy protection saves us from endless spam calls and emails, and also helps keep domain purchases private.
Namecheap is cheaper, easier to manage and avoids shady marketing gimmicks that other domain registrars rely on. And while I can't attest to the security practices of Namecheap, I've heard from reliable sources that NameCheap has much better security measures compared to other domain registrars, which could protect you from future hacking possibly.
We very rarely have to reach out to customer support because the service is so quick, easy and intuitive to use. But when we have had to use it, the customer service was quick, reliable, answered our questions and addressed our problems without too much back and forth, and was native English speaking.

Did Namecheap live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Namecheap go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Namecheap again?

Yes

If you need to register a domain, Namecheap is the best hands-down. We haven't used their hosting so I can't attest to it. I'm sure it'd be fine for a low-trafficked website that doesn't need to be fast. Otherwise just register your domain at Namecheap and use custom DNS to connect it to a website hosted elsewhere.
