Overall Satisfaction with Newswire
Press releases are expensive, so small businesses need a solution that is affordable. We went with the lowest cost option which ended up not producing any results for us. Before we went with this option, I had a call with someone on their team (cannot remember her title but I am assuming she was in sales). She was pretty pushy ongoing with one of the more expensive options. It kind of left a bad impression of their company in general for me. I am unsure whether we will try a more expensive distribution in the future.
Pros
- Low cost options.
- Easy to understand dashboard.
- High level metrics.
Cons
- Reporting not as detailed as I would've liked.
- Can only pick one industry channel - others cost more.
- None that I am aware of, unfortunately.
As mentioned previously, I chose Newswire because it was a cheaper alternative to Business Wire. Again, it's difficult to compare apples to apples with these distribution services. I will say that even though Business Wire is more expensive, they allow you to pick as many industry verticals as you want whereas Newswire only lets you pick one and the cost is somewhere around $100 to add more. I just got better impressions and clicks with Business Wire.
