Overall Satisfaction with NEXGEN Asset Management

I support our users with the asset inventory, GIS, service requests, work orders, warehouse, and asset planning.
  • Simple user interface.
  • All in one asset management tool.
  • Easy to administer and make changes.
  • Great training resources.
  • Quality assurance - system was deployed with so many bugs.
  • Support response time.
  • Resolution of bugs response time.
  • Have to view closed SRs and WO separately in list and grid view.
  • The warehouse options have.
  • Same bugs occurring over and over again.
  • GIS support is lacking.
  • Android app support is slow and knowledge seems lacking.
  • It gives our users a way to document, communicate and be held accountable.
The update schedule is not announced with time to give our users notice of an update. Updates often revert bugs we fixed. The app was completely broken for 6 WEEKS right after roll-out. It was a disaster.
I do like the admin simplicity, UI, and tools of NEXGEN better. Maximo and Cityworks have very few bugs. NEXGEN needs better QA and response time on development issues.

The work management (SRs & WOs) functions are great. The warehouse functions are behind the curve. Inspections could be improved. The number of bugs we had to work through really slowed down implementation and adoption by our users.
